My thoughts on adoption

In this post I am going to talk about my thoughts on adoption. Adoption is AMAZING!  I love my parents! Since I have turned 12 I have had many questions about my birth parents such as “what were they like?” and  “what did my birth mother look like?”and  “what kind of a mom would she have been is I wasn’t adopted?” I often think about these things.

I recently asked my mom about my birth  mother and she told me everything she knew. This post is NOT just for girls who are adopted but for those of you whop aren’t as well! I would really encourage each and everyone of you to be close with your mom and share everything with her, the good and the bad. No matter if you are adopted or not, if you are in God’s child you are adopted by Him and that’s a very special thing! So, talk to your mom and be close with her! Be present and be there for your mom when you can just like she is for you!

This is a picture of my mom and I from this summer! We got to go to the beach and spend some quality family time together! So, Be present and Be there for your mom just like she’s there for you! IMG_8166 (1)

2017 overview

Wow! I can’t believe 2017 is over and it’s already January 9 2018! 2017 was great! I will say the New Years resolutions I made at the beginning of 2017 failed. 2017 was full of many different things. In April my dog had puppies! In June our family went to Myrtle Beach for the first time and it was great! In August I started a new co-op and made lots of new friends! Thanksgiving and Christmas were also great! I think the highlight of the year though was our family beach  trip in June. It was so great because it was just the four of us for a whole week together! We got to spend time together on the beach and stay up till 11:00 p.m. watching shows on tv. I think 2017 was great and I hope yours was too!

Welcome to Geneva’s Grace!

Hi! Geneva is my given name (after my grandmother) but I go by Eva . I am twelve years old. I wanted to start this blog mainly to talk about adoption as well as other things I often think about and even struggle with or even  celebrate! Many questions can arise as we grow up in adoptive families, and I think it is  important to talk about those questions and look  for answers. I hope if you are adopted you will add your voice to this blog! Adoption is a journey- and an interesting and exiting one at that!

The title of my blog “Geneva’s Grace” is meant to point to the grace of God in my life.
